The Law Office of Sherri A. The smaller platform also allows for legal services to be more pragmatic and creative. The firm has additionally expanded to provide mediation services for employment and commercial litigation claims to assist litigants of all sizes work together in a collaborative manner to resolve their disputes amicably, on mutually-agreeable terms, and without protracted or further protracted litigation.
Affrunti Law assists businesses and professionals to appropriately handle a wide spectrum of issues that arise in today’s workplaces. Employment law advice, drafting and compliance counseling is regularly provided on matters including but not limited to those concerning hiring and background checks, employment contracts, family and medical leave requests, workplace accommodations, employee disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, employment terminations, restrictive covenants, confidentiality agreements, wage/hour and wage payment, workplace policy development, policy updates, multi-state policy harmonization, policy implementation, severance arrangements, mass layoffs and business restructurings, and plant closings. In addition, Sherri regularly supports businesses by performing preventative workforce training, workforce incident and harassment investigations, and employment due diligence in business transactions. When litigation cannot be avoided, Sherri partners with businesses and employers to evaluate and resolve litigation demands pre-suit, and otherwise effectively defends agency charge matters and other lawsuits filed in the State and Federal Courts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
The Firm also provides legal and strategic guidance and training for business compliance with ADA Title III accessibility matters, conducts privileged accessibility surveys in partnership with architectural firms and other experts, and provides guidance for other state law compliance with product and service accessibility concerns. Sherri has also assisted businesses develop accessibility policies, defend agency actions and investigations (such as those conducted by the federal Department of Justice as well as state law counterparts), and defend Title III and state law claims regarding accessibility.
